HEAT Bootcamp Coach & Personal Trainer

Born and raised in northern Virginia, I moved to Austin with my smart and beautiful wife so that we could be closer to her family and to start a new chapter in our lives. So far we have not regretted it, having found our home (Austin)….for now.

Having been a cook/chef for almost 10 years I found my passion for fitness late in my life, at least in my eyes. But, better late than never, right? I love talking and teaching family, friends, and clients about food and fitness and how to bring the two ingredients together. Healthy eating and healthy living…for the most part.

I’ve been a coach and personal trainer for over 10 years and I’ve learned so much about myself and know there is so much more to learn. And what I’ve learned, in both fitness and food, is to have fun with it and make it good/effective! When I cook I make it fun and good (delicious), whether it’s how I cook it and/or what ingredients I use or even how I plate it. Similar to my workout routines, whether it’s my own or for a client or class, I make it fun and good (effective). Now, some of my clients and campers may disagree on how “fun” the workouts are, but for some reason they keep coming back for more, go figure.

Fitness can be very similar to cooking in the sense that you have to start with a foundation and then build from it. For example, take a dish or meal that you’re comfortable preparing. You know the ingredients, you know the preparation, you know how to plate it. Now take that same dish and add or take away an ingredient that you think may either make it just as good or even better. As for fitness, take an exercise or even a routine and add an extra 30 seconds or extra 3-5 pounds to each exercise. You’ve just built off of each meal and exercise making it better or harder, but nonetheless made you accomplished.

In the field of fitness, I truly believe even the smallest improvement can be life changing, for the better and the positive. That is one of joys of being a personal trainer and coach, being able to assist and help and see the changes our clients and campers go through and then hearing about their accomplishments and how we helped them. And it’s not only physical, but mentally and socially as well.

In my spare time (when I’m not working out) I enjoy going on date days and nights with my wife, Flor. We are foodies so we love going out to eat and trying new things and places and when we can afford the time, we love to travel as well. We like hiking and taking our dog, Luka, out as often as possible.

So, what are you waiting for? Want to make a change? Want to have fun? Want to take a class or train a session with yours truly? Let’s Do This!! Just remember: Strong Mind Strong Body
